Genuitec has announced the availability of MyEclipse Reports , a professional integration and enhancement of the Eclipse BIRT project. MyEclipse Reports is available on startup to MyEclipse Professional Edition users at no charge via the "Community Essentials" program, and provides an enterprise-ready reporting solution to the MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench.

"Advanced reporting tools were requested by MyEclipse users, and we responded to the call," said Wayne Parrott, vice president of development for Genuitec in a statement. "MyEclipse Reports provides users with the most seamless reporting software available at no charge for MyEclipse Professional subscribers."

The MyEclipse Reports feature set gives developers a suite of advanced report development tools and a runtime report engine. These features work in a seamless manner with the MyEclipse web project tools, database tools and Java EE application server connectors and smart deployment facilities.

What do you use for reporting now, and is it working well?

We are using JasperReports and our own custom made reporting engine to do the job. Altough I like BIRT a lot but we didn't had enough tiem to integrate it into our code base for the latest reporting overhaul we did. Will definitely give it a go in future.
