The "One Laptop Per Child" project has a great device ready to ship, but there's no Java on there. Let's think about working together to put Java on OLPC!
The open-source pavilion (sponsored by
ActiveGrid
and
Business Objects
) is looking for open-source projects to present at the Tuesday pavilion. Full details are available at
the Eclipse announcement
, but you'll need to bring your own demo hardware (laptops are the best solution here) and be prepared to demo your wares between 2pm and 8pm. You'll get a free pass to EclipseCon if you're invited, but you'll have to organise transport, accommodation etc. yourself.
So, if you have an open-source project that's based on Eclipse or tangentially related to it, why not nominate your project and yourself to go to EclipseCon?
Nominations close on the 12th February, so you've only got a few days to get your entries in. Hope to see you there!
