The "One Laptop Per Child" project has a great device ready to ship, but there's no Java on there. Let's think about working together to put Java on OLPC!
How did you first get involved with Eclipse, and how long ago?
First time I saw Eclipse was when we got an internal 0.9x build from some IBM partner program. It was probably over 5 years ago. Never looked back since then.
What Eclipse-related projects are you working on and what are you doing?
I have to say that Eclipse is not my full time job. I am still doing Java development, but I am working on things completely unrelated to Eclipse: http://www.terracotta.org
I've been occasionally contributing patches to the Platform but that activity slowed down due my increased involvement with Mylar project. I spend most of my spare time working on Generic Web Repository connector, JIRA integration and few other components.
Another big and very interesting project that takes the rest of my spare time is Maven Integration for Eclipse. http://m2eclipse.codehaus.org
I also wish I had more time to work on Subclipse. I contributed extensions for the Subclipse History view, ported code to common History view for Eclipse 3.2 and recently refactored Mylar integration, which has been moved into Subclipse project. http://subclipse.tigris.org
What's your favourite Eclipse feature that you've added?
It is hard to choose or even remember from over 1500 bugs on various Eclipse projects I reported or commented to. http://tinyurl.com/2m5kgf
The recent one that I had lots of fun with is the Web Repository connector for Mylar. It allows to bring list of issues/tasks from pretty much any web-based issue tracking system into the Mylar's Task List using very little configuration. http://jroller.com/page/eu?entry=linking_mylar_with_google_code
What do you get up to in life when you're not thinking about or working with Eclipse?
When I have chance to get a break from work, I usually take my photo camera with me and get out. You don't have to go far to get nice pictures.
Lastly, how do you see yourself in the Eclipse community, and why should people vote for you?
It is not like this vote is for the parliament or something.
Community can decide if my activities on various Eclipse projects, my blogging and other participation worth to be awarded. I worked on that because I like participating into the open and responsive community. Lot's of community members contributing to the projects and helping them to grow and evolve. It doesn't have to be code and I've written fair number of blog posts and few articles. Often it takes only to create a bug report or comment on already created one to see things you are missing implemented, when that don't work you can always do it yourself and contribute a patch.
It is really interesting to work with such community and see that people are using your work and enjoying it.
EclipseZone would like to thank those that took part, and please remember to
vote for the individual awards
prior to the closing date of February 16th 2007.

HTTP Proxy support for pserver connection for Eclipse CVS plugin was also fun to work on. https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=102654
What's your favourite feature/plugin (commercial or open source)?
I don't have a single favorite. Mylar, Subclipse, Maven Integration and Bytecode Outline I use all the time.
What OSes do you do development on?
It doesn't really matter for Java and Eclipse development. These platforms provide really decent experience on pretty much any platform.
Are you attending EclipseCon or giving a talk this year?
I've submitted a short talk together with Mik Kersten: "Team version control mashup with Mylar" http://tinyurl.com/2ludmo
What Eclipse-related bookmarks/feeds (other than EclipseZone, of course) do you frequently use?
I have over 300 news feeds in my Google Reader and there is many related to Eclipse. Few to start with are:
