The "One Laptop Per Child" project has a great device ready to ship, but there's no Java on there. Let's think about working together to put Java on OLPC!
Eclipse and several Eclipse training company partners are hosting RCP training classes that will provide in-depth education for developers building Eclipse RCP-based applications. We invite you to join one of the 4-day classes. Start dates range from September 17 to October 2 and classes will take place in Amsterdam, Berlin, Boston, Braunschweig, Brussels, Chicago, Denver, Luxembourg, Paris, San Francisco, San Jose, Stuttgart and Portland.
The RCP training course will help developers understand the core RCP concepts and Eclipse plug-in architecture, and provide in-depth insight into SWT, JFace and other RCP components. If you?re building your first Eclipse RCP application, this training class is an excellent chance to learn techniques from experts. You should already have a strong knowledge of Java and design patterns, and experience with Eclipse, GUI development and XML. The class format will be instructor-led classroom teaching and hands-on tutorials and labs. A complete course outline is available at http://www.eclipse.org/community/training/2007RCPcourse.pdf.
Participating Eclipse training companies are offering the RCP training classes at discounted prices, and if you register by August 31, there is an additional 10% early bird discount. For all the details on dates, locations, pricing and registration, go to https://www.regonline.com/eclipsercp.
Thanks to our member companies Anyware Technologies, AvantSoft, BREDEX, Industrial TSI, Innoopract and WeigleWilczek for organizing the training classes.
